Weekend Recap

Parker is in Atlanta on business until Tuesday

I'm missing him so much, but thanks to modern technology I can still feel connected and informed on how he's doing.

For example, I tracked his entire flight from BR to ATL Saturday morning.

So happy he made it safely and without any delays!

I can't wait until I am tracking his plan back home on Tuesday

Saturday was a very lazy day.

I literally did not put real clothes on until after 2pm

In my defense, the weather was very gloomy & it had been a very busy past 24 hours.

Saturday night I made dinner for one and caught up on all the Castle episodes I had missed over the past few weeks

Sunday morning was spent running errands and simply enjoying the beautiful, warm day.

It was 75 degrees and perfect.

Tomorrow the high is 45 degrees and a 100% chance of rain.

SO over this fickle weather

Later in the afternoon the boys and I headed over to my parents house.

My brother took Leo for a long walk along the University Lakes while Benny stayed behind and got a much needed bath

He's just too cute!

I can always trust my mom to cook something good & Sunday was no exception.

Thanksgiving Weekend Recap

I can not believe that tomorrow is the first day of December and the last month of 2014!

I know I probably say this every year, but this year went by so quickly!

But before we can say hello to 2015, we must first get through the holidays

Every year we celebrate Thanksgiving at my uncle Mike's house, and this year was no exception

Benny was feeling a bit camera shy 

 Thanksgiving night Parker and I braved the mall to pick up a few Christmas presents for our family

We ended up finishing a lot of presents & saving a lot of money, but crowds will never be my thing. Too much anxiety 

Friday, Parker and I woke up early to pick out a Christmas tree and buy a few more Christmas decorations for our new apartment

How freaking cute are Benny and Leo in their matching Christmas sweaters?!

Saturday was spent at the dog park and watching the LSU game with Brooke and Joey

&

Sunday was spent sick on the couch.

Parker woke up feeling terrible and ended up vomiting all day, while I was still battling whatever illness I've had for the past week.

ugh.

I hope whatever virus is going around goes away soon.

Nothing is worse than going into finals week sick and having your family sick

Lazy Weekend Recap

This weekend was the best kind of weekend - an extremely lazy one

We literally did not move off our couch all Saturday & even napped from 1-3pm

It was heavenly!

The only thing we had on our calendar was to take Leo to get neutered on Friday (as Parker so eloquently illustrated)  & then take him and Benny to get free Christmas paw prints at Petco on Saturday

Leo had to stay overnight on Friday so the vet could monitor his reaction to the anesthesia post-surgery.

We missed him tons!

We snuggled the entire way back home from the vet Saturday morning 

Saturday night Parker & I made a Starbucks run in our slippers at halftime to grab a chi tea latte

Unfortunately, it was the only good part of the LSU vs Arkansas game 

Sunday was spent running a few errands and visiting our families

I can't believe tomorrow is Monday :(

Week/Weekend Recap: Kendra Scott, Moon Ring & New Orleans

This week started off pretty rough school-wise.

All I'm saying is that group projects should not be allowed in college, especially in senior level courses where the project is worth almost half your overall grade...

anyway...moving onto the better parts of this week!

After my first day at work in my home clinic, Parker came home and surprised me with gorgeous flowers, my favorite sushi & the Kendra Scott necklace I had been lusting over for weeks!

I'm so in love with this necklace!

Thank you, Parker for being so sweet!!

That night while Parker was taking Leo & Benny out for their final potty before bed, he looked up and noticed this crazy ring around the moon!

It looked like something out of a Syfy movie!

Fun fact of the day:

According to Google, this ring is caused by  the moonlight passing through ice crystals in the atmosphere!

Saturday we helped our best friend's Brooke & Joey move to New Orleans.

We went to the coolest local bar called The Avenue Pub near their new apartment to watch the LSU/Alabama game.

If you are ever in the New Orleans area definitely check this place out!

It has the most amazing architecture and art work, as well as a fantastic selection of beer & a delicious burger!

The only thing I will say about the game is: Geaux Tigers and go to hell Bama

ugh!

One of the perks of having your best friend work at a local brewery is all of the free beer!

Our fridge now looks like we live in a frat house

Next weekend we plan to go to the Renaissance Festival with Brooke & Joey for the Celtic weekend!

I can't wait!!
